Big Rock Brewery Scottish Style Heavy Ale

Now here's one of the nicer 'big' beers you can get on the Canadian prairies. This Scottish Style Heavy Ale by Big Rock Brewery is delicious, goes down easily and will put hairs on your chest. It's mellow and wonderfully malty, has a delightfully smooth mouth feel and—at 7%—has the ability to get you into trouble so be careful! :-) I feel I should point out, though, that it's got this very 'bready' thing going on, which you do tend to find with some of the Big Rock beers; maybe it's their yeast strain that does it.  As Keith said on the show, "it's grandma's baking."  So if that's not to your particular taste I'll be honest, you're really not going to like it.  Me, I love trying all the different beers that the world has to offer, but if this was the only beer you could get here I wouldn't be disappointed. Highly Recommended!
